Barry’s Qi Flow Therapeutic Massage is a deeply restorative bodywork session designed to help you feel better in every way — physically, mentally, and energetically. This treatment blends a unique combination of Barry’s favorite healing modalities, including deep tissue work, Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage), acupressure, circulation techniques, stretching, and relaxation-based massage. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, Barry works intuitively with your body, focusing on areas of tension, restriction, and imbalance. The session may include targeted pressure to release chronic tightness, mobilization and stretching to restore range of motion, and acupressure points that support energy flow through the meridians — helping the body feel more open, grounded, and aligned. This massage is ideal for guests who feel stiff, sore, stressed, or physically depleted, as well as those who want a session that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing. Many people leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to their body — as if their energy is moving freely again. Whether you are recovering from travel, carrying stress in your shoulders and hips, or simply craving deep nervous system relief, this session offers a powerful reset for the body and spirit. From Barry: The massage I do is a therapeutic massage that combines all my favorite things. It’s a combination of deep tissue, tui na, circulation, acupressure, stretching and relaxation all with a focus of feeling better, both mind and body.
Cancellation Policy
Mahai Spa Services Booking Policy To ensure a smooth and relaxing experience for all guests, we ask that you carefully review our spa booking policy before reserving a service. Online Booking Required -All spa services must be booked online using our scheduling system. -Your appointment is only confirmed once it has been officially booked through the online scheduler. Payment Options Guests may choose to: - Pay online at the time of booking, or - Pay in person at Mahai Retreat If paying in person, payment is due upon arrival for your appointment. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy We understand that travel plans can change, and we also honor the time of our practitioners. - Cancellations or rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled without penalty. - Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment are non-refundable. - No-shows are non-refundable. - If you selected “Pay in Person” and do not arrive for your appointment, the booking will still be treated as a no-show. Late Arrivals - Please arrive on time. - If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened to accommodate other scheduled guests. The full service price will still apply. Tea Bath Preparation - Tea baths require advance preparation time, including filling the tub, preparing the herbal blend, and setting the bath space. - For this reason, tea bath appointments fall under the same 24-hour cancellation policy. Health & Wellness Disclaimer - Mahai spa services are intended for relaxation, restoration, and holistic wellbeing. - All services are not medical treatments and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. - Guests are responsible for informing staff of any injuries, allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, or relevant medical conditions prior to treatment. Biofrequency Treatment Disclaimer - Biofrequency sessions are offered as a holistic wellness modality. Individual experiences and outcomes vary. - These sessions are not a substitute for medical care, and results are not guaranteed. Refund Policy Spa services are non-refundable once booked, except in rare cases where Mahai is unable to provide the service due to staffing or operational issues. Respectful Environment Policy Mahai Retreat is a healing space. We maintain a respectful environment for guests and practitioners. Any inappropriate behavior toward staff will result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
