In today’s fast-paced world, stress and overwhelm can feel inescapable. This retreat is designed to guide you through practices that nurture calm, build resilience, and empower you to reclaim your peace of mind.​​

🧘 Gentle Yoga & Somatic Practices

Daily movement sessions are slow, grounding, and supportive — focused on releasing tension from the body rather than pushing or striving.

You’ll take home:

  • Simple stretches and movements for relieving tension in the neck, shoulders, hips, and lower back

  • A deeper awareness of how stress shows up in your body — and how to release it

🧼 Wild Apothecary Workshop

In this hands-on workshops, you’ll create your own natural body scrubs and hair and face masks — learning how to care for your skin and hair in ways that support detoxification and nourishment. This experience reframes self-care as ritual rather than routine.

  • Recipes for handmade body scrub and hair and face masks

  • Knowledge to continue creating clean, nourishing self-care products at home

You’ll be guided through gentle, accessible breath practices to calm the mind, balance the nervous system, and reduce stress.

Our chef, Caro, will prepare a menu focused on anti-inflammatory, easy-to-digest foods that support healing, digestion, mental clarity, and sleep with herbal teas chosen specifically to support stress release and nervous system calm.

You’ll take home:

  • Insight into how food impacts stress, energy, and sleep

  • Simple ideas for nourishing yourself in a way that supports calm

Time by the sea, unstructured rest, and time away from daily demands allow your system to downshift naturally — so the tools you learn actually integrate.

Group sharing is gentle, optional, and held with care. You’ll experience what it’s like to be witnessed without fixing, advising, or performing.

✍️ Guided Writing & Reflection Practices

 

Through two facilitated writing workshops, you’ll explore:

  • What you are releasing (stress, patterns, expectations)

  • What you want to invite in (ease, clarity, joy, self-care)

These sessions include intentional prompts, quiet reflection time, and a fire ritual to symbolically release what no longer serves you.

You’ll take home:

  • A personal writing practice you can continue at home

  • Journaling prompts you can return to during times of stress or transition

  • Greater clarity around what truly supports your well-being

🌙 Evening Practices for Restful Sleep

 

Evenings are intentionally designed to support deep rest and quality sleep. You’ll experience a range of gentle nighttime practices, including a sound bath, Yoga Nidra, and evening breathwork.

You’ll practice:

  • Letting go of the day through guided rest practices

  • Creating a softer transition into sleep

 

You’ll take home:

  • Tools for winding down and improving sleep at home

  • Simple nighttime rituals to support rest and recovery

Daily Schedule

7:00 AM: Morning Yoga

8:30 AM: Breakfast

10:30 AM: Mobility / Movement Workshop

12:30 PM: Lunch

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Workshop

3:30 - 5:30 PM Ocean / Pool / Massage / Rest 

(Snorkeling / Paddleboarding, Kayaking can be scheduled at this time)

5:30 PM: Dinner

6:30 PM: Evening Ceremony / Soundbath / Workshop

Your retreat includes one 60-minute herbal tea bath in our  ocean front therapy cabanas.

 

There will be also be time for you to book massages or other treatments with Mahai's incredible therapists.

Travel

Mahai is located in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

 

The Tulum Airport (TQM)  is the closest International airport to Mahai.  We work with a shuttle company that travels from Tulum to Mahahual.  We can help arrange transportation from Tulum with you after you have registered for the retreat. 

You can also fly in to Cancun (CUN), a 5 to 6  hour drive to Mahai or the domestic airport in Chetumal (CTM), a 2 hour drive to Mahai.  You will need to make your own travel arrangements from these airports.
